Congratulations to the 10,000th Every 1 Reads volunteer--Judy Gordon. Judy is retired from the University of Louisville and will be volunteering at Gutermuth Elementary. Great Job!

Romonte Dishman - Mr. Dishman as the residents call him has been a HUGE supporter of the Everyone Reads Program at the Detention Center. He has coordinated the purchase of books, getting the books cataloged, coordinates the checking out of the books and is their #1 cheerleader when it comes to reading. The program and the library has grown in the past several years when I firat started there as an Everyone Reads volunteer. Without the staff and administration buy in the program would not be successful.

I would like to recognize a volunteer at Sullivan University by the name of Amanda Hall. She received a "Thank You" letter from the school (Bates Elementary) she volunteered at to inform her that her student went up from a Level 1 reading to a Level 4 reading in 3 months!!! Way to go Amanda!!!

I am the E1R ccordinator at Stopher School. Since we are a brand new school, this is our first year in Every 1 Reads. We didn't get started until November and we now have 15 volunteers. They are the best, and the students absolutely love their "Reading Buddies".

I am the coordinator here at the Sullivan University System for the Every 1 Reads program. This has been such a wonderful experience for me. I love going to read with my student every Friday. I am going to be honest--on my first day of tutoring I was having doubts about it (more nervous than anything). but I have to say I absolutely love doing it and honestly get so much joy out of it. Count me in to continue at Goldsmith Elementary next year as well.
